Ch 1: Furry Cat
- Positional words: Inside, Outside, Above, Below, Near, Far.
Ch 2: Long & Round
- Objects with round surfaces roll. Objects with flat surfaces slide.
Ch 3: Mango Treat
- Counting 1 to 9. Addition concept: 1 more makes the next number.
Ch 4: Making 10
- Making pairs of 10 (e.g., 5+5, 8+2). Concept of Zero (0) as ‘nothing’.
Ch 5: How Many?
- Addition (Altogether) and Subtraction (How many left).
Ch 6: Veggie Farm
- Repeated addition and counting objects in groups of tens.
Ch 7: Lina’s Family
- Tall vs Short, Heavy vs Light, Measuring with handspans and footspans.
Ch 8: Fun with Numbers
- Counting up to 100. Understanding 21-50, 51-100.
Ch 9: Utsav
- Recognizing patterns in nature, rangoli, and shapes.
Ch 10: Spend my Day
- Time of Day: Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Night. Seasons: Summer, Monsoon, Winter, Spring.
Ch 11: How Many Times?
- Introduction to multiplication: Adding the same group repeatedly (Groups of 3).
Ch 12: Spending Money
- Value of money: Coins and Notes. Shopping and saving in a gullak.
Ch 13: So Many Toys
- Comparing quantities, solving puzzles, and identifying patterns.
