🎠 Rides at the Fair!

Let’s count how many children are having fun on the rides by adding the groups!

The Horse Swing:
Answer: 2 children can sit on each horse. There are 4 horses!
2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8

8 children can sit on the horse swing altogether.

The Toy Train:
Answer: 3 children can sit in a train bogie. There are 3 bogies!
3 + 3 + 3 = 9

9 children can sit in the 3 bogies.

The Big Wheel:
Answer: 4 children can sit together in one compartment. There are 5 compartments!
4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 20

20 children can sit in the swing.

🥨 Sweet Jalebis!
After riding, the children ordered 6 plates of jalebis. Each plate has 3 pieces.
Answer: Let’s add 3 jalebis, six times!
3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 18

So, 6 times 3 is 18!

🚌 Travelling in the Bus
Counting People in the Bus:
Answer: There are 9 rows, and 2 people sit in each row.
2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 18

9 times 2 = 18. Total number of people in the bus = 18.

Counting Water Bottles:
Answer: There are 4 crates, and each crate has 5 bottles.
5 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 20

4 times 5 = 20. Total number of bottles in the bus = 20.

🛍️ Cheenu’s Shop
Find the total of each item Cheenu bought:
A. Erasers: Cheenu bought 4 packs of erasers. Each pack has 2 erasers.
2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8

4 times 2 = 8. Total number of erasers = 8.


B. Pencils: Cheenu bought 5 packs of pencils. Each pack has 3 pencils.
3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 15

5 times 3 = 15. Total number of pencils = 15.


C. Apples: Cheenu bought 3 packs of apples. Each pack has 3 apples.
3 + 3 + 3 = 9

3 times 3 = 9. Total number of apples = 9.

🚴 Project Work: Draw a cycle wheel. If 1 cycle has 2 wheels, how many wheels do 3 cycles have? (2 + 2 + 2 = 6 wheels!) Find out how many cycles are at your home and count the wheels!
