Example 1: Letter to the Editor

Subject: Increasing Incidents of Reckless Driving
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw the attention of the concerned authorities and the general public towards the alarming rise in reckless driving on the city roads.
It is distressing to observe that traffic rules are being flouted with impunity. Overspeeding, jumping red lights, and lane-cutting have become common practices, endangering the lives of pedestrians and other commuters. The youth, in particular, treat the roads as racing tracks, often leading to fatal accidents. Despite heavy fines, there seems to be no deterrent effect.
I suggest that stricter surveillance through CCTV cameras and immediate cancellation of licenses for repeat offenders be implemented. Furthermore, road safety awareness campaigns should be conducted in schools and colleges.
I hope this letter will stir the authorities into action to make our roads safer.
Yours faithfully,
